Worsbrough Bridge Game To Be Replayed

Worsbrough Bridge AthleticFollowing our abanboned game earlier in the season v Worsbrough Bridge Athletic the NCEL have decided that the game, as per FA rules, should be replayed. 


The game has been rescheduled for Saturday 1st February 2020 and Worsbrough have allocated the game as a 'pay what you want game' with all proceeds going to the Barnsley Hospital Charity.

Hallam continue their intensive preparations for the new season with a visit to one of the Premier Division favourites Maltby Main tomorrow afternoon. The Hallam FC website caught up with Countrymen Manager Stephen Whitehead who gave us an update on how he feels his squad is developing as we head towards the big kick-off.

Stephen, after that fine display at home to Chesterfield pre-season continues with a short-ish trip to Muglet Lane on Saturday to face Premier Division Maltby Main. Are you getting any closer to a full-strength squad?

Stephen WhiteheadOn Saturday Hallam- seventeenth in Toolstation NCEL Division One- welcome tenth-placed Harrogate Railway Athletic to Sandygate.

The Countrymen are showing real signs of a return to form after a solid point at much-fancied Parkgate last Saturday ; and Manager Stephen Whitehead affirmed the upbeat mood in the camp when he spoke with Ian Jones and Glenn Poulton from the Hallam FC Website.

Whitehead delighted with the squad despite the narrow loss to the Spireites. 

Chesterfield FC 2Two goals in the last fifteen minutes saw Hallam beaten 2-1 by a strong National League Chesterfield side in front of a splendid crowd of 402; but after the game, and in conversation with the Hallam FC website, Manager Stephen Whitehead told Glenn Poulton that he was more than happy with the performance of his squad on the night.

Hallam Add to Attacking Options

Jason StokesHallam have confirmed the signing of former Gainsborough Trinity, Boston United, North Ferriby, Matlock Town and Ilkeston Town winger and midfielder Jason Stokes from Rossington Main.

2019-20 Season Begins at North Ferriby

ToolStationThe NCEL fixtures for 2019-20 season have now been released and we begin the season with a trip to North Ferriby on Saturday 3rd August.

The game is closely followed with a friendly at Sandygate v Sheffield United where Chris Wilder will bring a strong team to play The Countrymen.

First off at Sandygate brings the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round with a visit from Staveley Miners Welfare and another cup competition sees us visit Liversedge in the FA Vase First Round Qualifying.
