Hallam continue their intensive preparations for the new season with a visit to one of the Premier Division favourites Maltby Main tomorrow afternoon. The Hallam FC website caught up with Countrymen Manager Stephen Whitehead who gave us an update on how he feels his squad is developing as we head towards the big kick-off.

Stephen, after that fine display at home to Chesterfield pre-season continues with a short-ish trip to Muglet Lane on Saturday to face Premier Division Maltby Main. Are you getting any closer to a full-strength squad?

2019-20 Season Begins at North Ferriby

ToolStationThe NCEL fixtures for 2019-20 season have now been released and we begin the season with a trip to North Ferriby on Saturday 3rd August.

The game is closely followed with a friendly at Sandygate v Sheffield United where Chris Wilder will bring a strong team to play The Countrymen.

First off at Sandygate brings the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round with a visit from Staveley Miners Welfare and another cup competition sees us visit Liversedge in the FA Vase First Round Qualifying.

The Community Scheme

The Community Scheme have been a key supporter of Hallam FC 

for many years and when times were tough the monthly donation from the scheme helped the club to maintain some of it own youth initiatives which today has resulted in our own junior teams and a reputation for developing good young players.

With the beast from the east taking its toll on all of us this winter, games in the NCEL were few and far between and Hallam were certainly no different as we only managed 6 games in the first 2 months of 2018.

Hallam 2017 Review

As a New Year starts we look back over 2017 and the Up and the Downs with Glenn Poulton

As ever in the NCEL, 2017 didn't disappoint, especially with hallam FC on the back of 1 play off finish in 2016. A cold January saw Hallam kick off the year with a 4-0 home win over Brigg and a strong 210 crowd.
