Iren Wilson produced an attacking masterclass, as Hallam FC come from behind to beat Silsden AFC 3-1 in the fourth round of the FA Vase.

The game started as a cagey affair, with both teams lacking quality in the final third, as the half-finished goalless. Hallam came back the better side in the second half, dominating possession and testing Trennery. Against the run of play, Price found Ellis Hudson, who dispatched the ball into the back of the net comfortably.

This didn’t affect the hosts, who continued to control the tempo of the game, as Iren Wilson headed in an equaliser for Hallam. Countrymen created more chances after the equaliser with debutant Basile Zottos getting on the scoresheet. Silsden went down to ten men and Hallam capitalised, as Wilson confidently went around the keeper and tapped the ball home into an empty net.

A crucial goal to ease any lingering nerves for Hallam, who made history as they progress to the fifth round for the first time ever.
