Kiyani Clayton made his first home appearance since rejoining, as Hallam came out second best, losing 4-0.

Craig Denton made one change from his side’s impressive 4-2 away win against Grimsby Borough on Saturday, with Brodie Litchfield replacing Jamie Sharman, and Adam Blakeley being pushed back into defence.

And after a minute’s silence was beautifully observed by all to celebrate the life of young Garforth Town fan Ella, the game began.

But after only seven minutes, the away side took the lead, with Rinor Ejupi tapping in from close range with a backheel following a corner.

Hallam had a good chance to equalise straight away though, with Kiyani Clayton striking just wide from range.

Just before half an hour had been played, Garforth were given the opportunity to double their lead, when Blakeley slid in the box to give away a penalty. Luke Aldrich scored from the spot.

The Countrymen had two chances before the end of the half however, when the ball dropped to Danny South in the box from a free kick, and his shot was blocked, and minutes later, big handball appeals were waived away.

Hallam went into the break two goals down, and, as a result, made four changes, with Howarth, Ward, Lipka and Burns all entering the field.

But after an hour, Garforth got their third, Max Tweddle beating the offside trap and slotting home after a good start to the half from Hallam.

And they got a fourth soon after, from the spot again. Ejupi got his second of the game after Hugo Warhurst brought down an incoming striker.

Hallam still sit in 12th with that loss, with 15th placed Ossett coming to visit on Saturday.
