Ashington 2-1 Hallam (Spooner 31′, Gilchrist 52′ | Poulter (58′), Woodhorn Lane, Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division
Hallam have now lost four out of their last six games, and are without a win in September, after losing 2-1 away at Ashington.
The hosts opened the scoring early on through Craig Spooner’s finish from the edge of the area, and doubled their lead not long after the break through Josh Gilchrist, despite massive appeals of offside from the Countrymen.
Harrison Poulter claimed his first goal for the club in the 58th minute; running by two and firing into the bottom corner to half the deficit.
And with three minutes to go, two straight red cards were given for an off the ball incident, with captain Danny South and Ashington’s Liam Henderson.
2-1 was the final score, with Craig Denton’s men still looking for their first win of the month.
