Hallam FC are delighted to announce the signing of 24-year-old Bubacarr “Abu” Sama, adding even more pace, creativity and attacking quality to the squad ahead of the new season.

The midfielder joins the club after spending last season with Merthyr Town at Step 2 and has been one of the standout performers throughout pre-season, doing more than enough to impress the gaffers.

Speaking on the signing, the Pattersons said:

“We knew after Abu’s very first session that he was a player we wanted to bring to Hallam. His quality was obvious straight away, and he’s got the work rate to match. He gives us real flexibility as he can play in midfield or further forward, and he’s looked excellent throughout pre-season.

“He took his goal brilliantly against Worksop and was outstanding in the central areas against Handsworth, where he was one of the standout players in a really impressive team performance.

“We’re absolutely delighted he’s agreed to join us.”
