Hallam FC are excited to announce the signing of highly sought-after creative midfielder Jacob Priestnall!

A local lad, who is based close to Sandygate, arrives from Retford FC, where him, the Patterson brothers, and recent signing Jesse Omoregbee enjoyed promotion last season.

Once of Salford City, the 21-year-old is one that the new management have worked hard to get since their arrival, and they had this to say on the signing:

“He’s a midfield magician, and a massive coup for the club.

“Jacob’s a two-footed player, who has a great eye for a long range goal or two.

“He’s had so much interest after being instrumental in Retford’s league title win, and we can’t for all the fans to see what he can do!”

And Jacob is delighted with signing for the Countrymen:

“Hallam is a massive club at this level and having the chance to sign for them and being local is a big opportunity for me.

It was hard to leave Retford as I loved my time there but I felt like it was something I couldn’t miss.

I know we will have a good year with Danny & Rich and I’m very excited to be playing for Hallam!”
