Following the confirmation this week of the departure of it’s first team manager, Craig Denton, Hallam Football Club, is seeking an ambitious, dedicated, and visionary First Team Manager, to
help lead the club into its next chapter.

This is a rare opportunity to manage the team at Sandygate, officially recognised as the oldest football ground in the world. You will be entrusted with preserving tradition while driving performance both on and off the pitch.

We’re looking for someone who:
– Has proven experience in football management or coaching
– Has experience in Step Four
– Holds relevant coaching qualifications
– Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
– Understands the non-league game
– Shares our passion for football heritage and community spirit

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead, coach, and manage the first team squad
– Plan and deliver engaging, competitive training sessions
– Develop tactical strategies for league and cup competitions
– Identify and recruit players aligned with club values
– Work closely with club officials and volunteers
– Represent the club professionally in the community and media
