STATEMENT FROM RICHARD PILLINGER (CHAIRMAN, HALLAM FC)

With all the mixed messages posted on social media during recent days I feel that as Chairman of Hallam FC it is my responsibility to inform and reassure the Hallam family of the clubs future.

The announcement of a transition to a new Chair and Vice-Chair at the AGM was pre-emptive in order to address the rumours circulating in our Hallam community. It was the intention of all parties for there to be an orderly handover following the AGM.

During the intervening period it became apparent that a number of issues about the future direction of Hallam FC could not be resolved.

As Chairman and after due consideration with the committee it was decided that in the best interests of Hallam FC we would not proceed with the proposed changes.

I would like to thank Gino for his endeavours to progress the deal but unfortunately agreement could not be reached.

We remain committed to retaining the community involvement in the club and developing a model that gives YOU our Hallam FC family a say in moving forward.
