Hallam FC confirm that defender Keenan Ferguson has left the Countrymen for an opportunity to play at a higher level.
Ferguson made 13 appearances (including 10 starts) since joining in the summer, and proved a key figure at the back before picking up a big injury, keeping him out for a lengthy period of time.
On X (formerly Twitter), manager Craig Denton spoke fondly of the defender, calling him a “a real honest lad and cracking player”, and he will be “hugely missed”.
And Ferguson said it’s been “an absolute pleasure” to be involved with the “great group” and “great fanbase”.
Ferguson leaves with the club’s best wishes, good luck for the future, Keenan!
