vPickeringHallam FC 3 - 0 Pickering Town

Hallam ease past Pickering with brilliant Performance Hallam FC V Pickering Town. Hallam managed to earn 3 points after an exciting and complete performance from the team.

Hallam begun the match as the more proactive team utilising set pieces and throw ins to put pressure on the Pickering goal. In the 16th minute Iren Wilson beautifully took down a long ball but could not manage an effort on goal without his shot being blocked.

In the 22nd minute Pickering manufactured a slick move but were denied by some great goalkeeping from Hugo Warhurst and defending at the back.
This move didn’t disrupt Hallam who continued to use set-pieces and directness to challenge the Pickering backline and in the 3lst minute, a Hallam corner caused chaos in the box and the ball fell to Nico DeGirolamo whose’ deft attempt drifted wide of the post. Minutes after Basille Zotos had an attempt deflect off Calum Ward where it trickled just wide.
In the 41st minute Chris Salt had a goal bound effort headed away just before the line; Hallam were turning up the heat but could not quite found the all-important goal.
At halftime the score remained 0-0 after a positive opening 45 from Hallam.

During the Interval, Hallam Made a change bringing on Sam Eckhardt for his second debut.

Pickering began the second half by missing a glorious chance with Nathan Dyer firing a cross into the box which Omar Sanyang headed over.
Pickering were punished for their lack of clinical finishing when Iren Wilson produced a sensational driving run into the left-hand side of the box where he fired a shot into the roof of net.
!-0 Hallam
After the goal Iren Wilson continued to be a catalyst for Hallam’s attacking play managing to enter the box again with a direct run, this time producing a cross that was just cleared.
Minutes after chaos erupted as Pickering were reduced to 9 men as Blake Drury was sent off and Matty Robinson being sent to the newly trialling sin bin.

Hallam stepped it up a gear upon gaining the numerical advantage with a second after Brandon Bradbury headed into the corner after a superb Ollie Fearon cross, who whipped it in from the right-hand side.

It was a just reward for a Hallam side who continued to play with attacking purpose and were rewarded once again after Pickering failed to deal with another dangerous cross where Fearon glanced an effort at goal which was spilled into the path of Ruthven who tapped home.

It Capped off a fantastic Hallam performance at Sandygate in which they won the game 3-0.
