Support UK Steel sponsor the Campion match
Unite the Union is proud to sponsor Hallam FC
Statement from Support UK Steel
"The future of the UK steel industry is uncertain.
But research from Unite shows that, with investment and commitment from the Government and our local politicians, UK steel could have a bright future as a European leader in green steel production.
Our Workers’ Plan for Steel would increase output and create more jobs, ending decades of managed decline:
- Change procurement rules so UK public contracts use 100% UK steel
- Public investment for a transition to green steel production, with a guarantee that investment comes with no job losses
Unite has launched a major national campaign in Sheffield and other steel towns to put this plan into action.
Today we are handing in a joint letter signed by over 150 Sheffield businesses and community organisations, calling for urgent action from our politicians to save our vital steel industry."

Hallam defeated in the cold
Hallam FC 0 - 2 Garforth Town
Garforth Town came to Sandygate sitting just above Hallam in the NCEL Premier Division.
Garforth took an early lead when a cross was deflected by a Hallam defender into the Hallam goal.
By half time neither side produced much threat to either goal and with the temperature dropping fast the initial 45 minutes came to a conclusion.
In the second half Hallam was awarded a penalty when Iren Wilson was brough down by the Garforth Keeper. The penalty was lined up by Ash Flynn who duly blasted it over the cross bar.
Garforth were later to be awarded a penalty which was converted. This put Garforth two up and that how the game ended.

Oh what a night, watching Hallam on a Tuesday night
Hallam FC 3 - 0 Silsden AFC
On a cold and wet November night at the World’s Oldest Football Ground, Hallam FC hosted Silsden AFC. Within 2 minutes of the start, Nathan Cartman scored a goal for Hallam FC, a well-taken shot into the top corner of the net from a Hallam corner. In the 15th minute, Hallam doubled their lead from another corner as Dan Burns rifled his header into the roof of the net. As the weather worsened and we approached half-time, Hallam keeper Hugo Warhurst twice kept out the Silsden attack to keep Hallam 2 up at the break.
