Martin Westby
It is with great sadness that we have heard of the sad passing of our dear friend Martin Westby. Martin was a proud Sheffielder, a renowned Sheffield author, and a great friend and supporter of Hallam Football Club.
He was a focus historian and a wonderful character to have around, his knowledge and passion for local football was unsurpassed by anyone. Martin loved everything about Sheffield and its football heritage and was so proud of the work he had done with The Sheffield Home of Football project including the brilliant Walking Tour App.
Our sincere condolences go to Martin’s wife, Judith, and the rest of his family at this very sad time. He will be sadly missed by all of his friends at Hallam Football Club and will always have a place not only in our history but also in our hearts.
